CMS Brembana Kartesia F 3- or 4-Axis CNC Stone Machining Centre

The CMS Brembana Kartesia F is a compact and highly automated 3- or 4-axis CNC machining centre for processing marble, granite, synthetic stone, engineered stone and ceramic slabs.

It is designed to perform rough and polished edge contouring, milling, drilling, countersinking, pocketing, bas-relief work, engraving and lettering quickly and accurately.

What sets the Kartesia F apart is its fully automatic worktable setup. The machine positions the suction cups and reference stops without requiring manual intervention from the operator.

This significantly reduces setup time between jobs and allows the operator to concentrate on other workshop activities while the machine prepares the table for the next component.

CMS states that the automatic setup system can reduce human intervention by up to 71% and increase productivity by up to 26% compared with a conventional machine occupying a similar amount of floor space. These figures depend on the workpiece and production process.

The table can be equipped with up to 12 suction cups and five reference stops. The machine automatically positions these components according to the CNC program.

The compact monoblock structure is fixed directly to the factory floor, providing the rigidity required to absorb machining forces and maintain accuracy over time without specialist foundation work.

The Kartesia F is available with three interpolated axes or an optional continuous 360-degree C axis. The fourth axis allows angular transmissions and specialist tooling to rotate around the workpiece.

The machine uses a 13.5 kW electrospindle with speeds up to 15,000 rpm, ISO 40 tool connection and torque of 22 Nm at 6000 rpm.

Depending on the selected configuration, the automatic tool magazine provides between 28 and 52 tool-change positions.

A tool-wear control system automatically adjusts tool position as tooling wears, helping maintain consistent edge quality and dimensional accuracy.

The maximum published workpiece size is 3300 × 1600 mm, with axis travels of 3800 mm in X, 2300 mm in Y and 520 mm in Z.

Optional equipment includes a three-position tilting head for sloping drainers, thickness measurement, laser tool presetting, laser suction-cup projection, angular transmissions, a rotary turning unit and dedicated tooling for 90-degree sink processing.

EasyStone CAD/CAM software manages component drawing, worktop design, tool selection, automatic suction-cup positioning, machining simulation, polishing pressure and production-time calculation.

CMS Active provides touchscreen machine control, user management, shift monitoring and tool-life management.

CMS Connect enables connected-machine monitoring, production analysis, alarm history and maintenance support through an IoT platform.
