About the TC Tempering and Bending
The Mazzaroppi TC Tempering & Bending range provides custom-engineered solutions for manufacturers requiring the production of curved and toughened glass within a controlled and highly automated production process.
Tempering and bending plants have been an important part of Mazzaroppi's product range for many years, with installations operating around the world. Unlike a conventional standard tempering furnace, each TC system is extensively engineered around the customer's specific production requirements.
The project begins with a detailed study of the required glass products, dimensions, bending radii, production volumes and processes. Mazzaroppi then develops the plant configuration specifically around these requirements, creating a genuinely tailor-made tempering and bending system.
Three principal CNC-controlled bending technologies are available:
- Transverse roller bending with regular radius
- Longitudinal sector bending with regular radius
- Transverse press and die bending with variable radius
This allows Mazzaroppi to develop systems for a wide range of curved glass applications rather than restricting manufacturers to one bending method or product geometry.
The TC range is particularly suitable for manufacturers producing glass for architectural applications, automotive, refrigeration, shower enclosures, furniture, household appliances and solar applications.
For manufacturers requiring both flat and curved glass production, Mazzaroppi can also engineer multifunctional plants incorporating several production lines within one system. These can combine a conventional flat tempering line with roller bending and press bending technologies, providing considerable production flexibility from a single installation.
