Mazzaroppi Special Machinery represents the highest level of custom engineering within the Mazzaroppi range, providing completely bespoke glass tempering and processing systems for manufacturers whose requirements cannot be met by a conventional standard machine.

Rather than adapting an existing furnace, Mazzaroppi can develop the system from the ground up around the customer's production requirements. Key parameters including glass dimensions, minimum glass sizes, production capacity, processing methods and the combination of different processes within one installation can all be defined specifically for the project.

These systems are particularly suited to larger and specialist glass manufacturers looking for a unique production solution, whether the requirement is unusual glass dimensions, exceptionally high quality standards, multiple processes or several production lines integrated into one plant.

One example is Mazzaroppi's Multifuzione / MULTY system, developed to combine several different production processes within one installation. A single plant can incorporate a roller bending line for regular-radius curved glass, a mould-press bending line for more complex shapes and a separate flat glass tempering line.

Mazzaroppi also develops specialist furnaces with two or more independent heating chambers. These multiple heating chamber systems are designed to reduce the thermal shock experienced by the glass during tempering and achieve extremely high levels of finished glass quality.

According to Mazzaroppi, the combination of multiple heating chambers, specialist materials and advanced process technology can provide improved glass flatness, reduced optical distortion and up to a 97% reduction in anisotropy.
