Options

  • Recover Valuable Remnants Reusable glass left after optimised cutting can be automatically returned to storage rather than being discarded.
  • Reduce Glass Waste By making remnants identifiable and available for future cutting jobs, more of the original stock sheet can ultimately be utilised.
  • Keep the Cutting Line Running Re-Store can hold full-size sheets as a buffer, allowing cutting to continue while new glass packs are being loaded into the main storage system.
  • Flexible Capacity Starting from 10 positions, the system can be extended according to the available space and amount of glass the customer needs to manage.

About the Re-Store Buffer System

The Mistrello Re-Store Buffer System is an automatic storage solution designed specifically for the management of individual glass sheets and reusable remnants, helping glass processors reduce waste and maintain a more efficient flow of material through the cutting department.

One of the primary functions of Re-Store is the automatic recovery and storage of remnant glass generated during cutting optimisation. Instead of usable offcuts being discarded or manually stored where they can become difficult to identify and retrieve, Re-Store allows suitable remnants to be returned automatically to dedicated storage positions for future use.

The system can accommodate glass from a minimum size of 1000 ร— 1000 mm up to full-size sheets, allowing valuable remnants to become part of the available glass stock rather than waste.

Re-Store can also perform a second important function as a production buffer before the cutting process. Full sheets of PLF jumbo glass or DLF glass can be loaded into the system ready for subsequent cutting.

This allows production to continue while new glass packs are being loaded into the main storage system. Rather than stopping the cutting line while stock racks are being replenished, sheets already held within Re-Store can continue to feed production. Mistrello specifically developed this buffer function to work alongside systems such as its Compact Storage.

The system is modular, starting from a minimum of 10 storage positions. Each position can accommodate one or more sheets, and the overall length and number of storage positions can be adapted according to the customer's available factory space and production requirements.

With the ability to handle sheets up to 6000 ร— 3300 mm and a maximum capacity of 1,000 kg, Re-Store can accommodate everything from reusable cutting remnants to jumbo stock sheets within the same material-management concept.

For glass processors with significant cutting volumes, Re-Store can therefore provide two important benefits from one system: recover more usable glass from each stock sheet and keep the cutting department supplied during stock-loading operations.

Integrated with Mistrello storage, handling and cutting-line automation, Re-Store can form part of a complete automated glass-management system covering incoming stock, storage, sheet selection, cutting, remnant recovery and reuse.

Stone & Glass Group supplies and supports Mistrello glass storage and handling systems throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and Benelux, including project specification, factory layout planning, installation, commissioning, operator training, servicing, spare parts and ongoing technical support.
