GL Stock Selectors (GLP and GLH)

The Mistrello GL Stock Selectors – GLP and GLH are automatic overhead handling systems designed to select, lift and transport individual stock sheets from glass storage directly into the cutting department.

Both systems can handle PLF jumbo glass up to 6000 × 3210 mm and DLF glass up to 3300 × 2600 mm, with glass thicknesses ranging from 3 to 19 mm. The systems are also suitable for handling Low-E glass.

Unlike a conventional glass loader positioned alongside a cutting table, the GL Stock Selector is an overhead travelling system. This allows the machine to move between storage positions and production equipment while keeping valuable factory floor space available for glass storage and processing.

The GLP and GLH can be integrated with Mistrello automatic compact glass storage systems, creating an automated connection between raw glass stock and the cutting department.

Importantly, customers do not necessarily need a completely new automated warehouse. The stock selectors can also collect glass from traditional fixed storage racks and can even be used to unload individual glass sheets directly from the delivery vehicle.

This flexibility makes the GL Stock Selectors particularly suitable for medium and large glass processors looking to automate material flow while retaining some or all of their existing storage infrastructure.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 1,000 kg, the system provides the capacity required for handling large stock sheets while reducing manual glass movement and creating a more automated route from raw material storage through to cutting.

The system can be engineered around the factory layout and integrated with the customer's cutting lines, allowing Mistrello to develop a complete storage-to-production solution according to the available space and required production flow.
