About the Cugher Symphonia Automated Harps Rack System
The Cugher Symphonia Automated Harps Rack System is an automated glass handling solution developed to simplify the loading and unloading of vertical glass production lines.
Designed particularly for small and medium-sized glass processors, Symphonia eliminates much of the manual glass handling traditionally required between the cutting area and vertical processing equipment, including insulated glass production lines.
After cutting, the operator places each glass sheet directly onto a harp rack according to the required production sequence. Each harp can accommodate up to 40 glass sheets.
Once loaded, the harp is positioned onto a modular floor-mounted structure. The system automatically raises the harp and moves it through the handling system, unloading the glass sheets one at a time and in the correct production sequenceonto the vertical line.
When a harp becomes empty, the operator returns it to the cutting area for reloading while the remaining harps continue automatically through the production process. The same principle can also be configured in reverse for automatic unloading from a production line.
Symphonia is completely modular, allowing the number of harp positions to be selected according to the required production capacity. Cugher also custom-engineers each system around the available factory space, production layout and glass dimensions.
The system can handle glass up to 3000 × 1500 mm and provides an effective way to reduce manual handling, improve production flow and automate the transfer of glass between manufacturing processes.
