Bovone ELB 10/45 Variable-Angle Glass Edging Machine

The Bovone ELB 10/45 is a high-performance variable-angle straight-line glass edging machine designed to grind and polish both flat and inclined glass edges with exceptional precision and finishing quality.

Its ten-wheel configuration enables glass processors to produce standard flat edges or mitred edges at continuously adjustable angles from 0° to 45°. This provides the flexibility required for architectural, interior, furniture and specialist glass applications within one robust production machine.

The machine can achieve an exceptionally high-quality polished finish through the use of liquid cerium. This makes the ELB 10/45 particularly suitable for applications where the appearance, clarity and consistency of the finished edge are critical.

Working speeds are continuously adjustable from 0.35 to 5.4 m/min, allowing production parameters to be matched to the glass thickness, mitre angle, edge dimensions and required finishing quality.

The ELB 10/45 processes glass from 3 to 30 mm thick as standard, with an optional configuration available for glass up to 60 mm. The machine can produce an arris width of up to 5 mm and mitre angles between 0° and 45°.

Minimum glass sizes vary according to the glass thickness, dimensions and selected processing configuration. For glass up to 12 mm thick, minimum sizes include 65 × 65 mm, 85 × 85 mm and 105 × 105 mm. For glass between 12 and 30 mm thick, minimum sizes include 80 × 80 mm, 100 × 100 mm, 150 × 150 mm and 90 × 200 mm.

The ELB 10/45 is constructed around Bovone’s heavy-duty cast-iron machine base. This extremely rigid structure helps prevent machine torsion and significantly reduces vibration during processing, supporting accurate grinding, consistent polishing and reduced mechanical wear.

Its precision engineering, proven spindle technology and user-friendly control software provide accurate and repeatable processing while simplifying machine setup, wheel adjustment and routine maintenance.

The ELB 10/45 is also available in a Fully Automatic configuration. This includes automatic compensation for grinding-wheel wear, rapid wheel setup and visual and audible warnings when wheels require replacement. These functions reduce operator intervention and help maintain consistent finishing quality throughout production.

The machine can operate as a standalone variable-angle edger or be incorporated into a complete automated production system with glass conveyors, washing machines and robotic loading and unloading equipment.
