Cms Proxima Automatic Horizontal Seaming Machine

The CMS Proxima is a compact automatic horizontal seaming machine developed for small and medium-sized glass processors looking to introduce automated edge seaming with a modest investment. It can be combined with both tilting float glass cutting tables and laminated glass cutting tables, allowing the glass edge to be processed immediately after cutting before the sheet is removed from the table. This avoids unnecessary double handling and helps streamline production.

A standalone version is also available for use with a compact support table. The Proxima performs dry edge processing in seconds and extracts machining residue through a three-stage filtration system. Because the process uses no water, there is no slurry or sludge to dispose of, helping reduce operating costs and simplify housekeeping.

The machine automatically adapts to the glass length and thickness and is specially designed for Low-E coated glass. Its compact footprint, simple controls and rapid installation make it an ideal solution for companies looking to improve safety, consistency and productivity without investing in a large automated line.

The Proxima can process up to 2600 mm in a single pass, with no effective length limit when multiple passes are used. A seaming speed of 20 m/min provides fast cycle times, while the two dry grinding units deliver consistent edge treatment across glass thicknesses from 4 to 19 mm.
