About the Cms Aura Automatic Vertical Dry-Seaming Machine

The CMS Aura is a fully automatic vertical dry-seaming machine developed for the efficient processing of rectangular glass.

Unlike conventional wet-seaming systems, the Aura machines the glass edges without water. Its specially designed dry-use tools remove the sharp edge from all four sides of the pane, while the resulting glass dust is collected through an integrated extraction system and conveyed to a multi-stage filter at the rear of the machine.

Dry processing eliminates the need for process water, water circulation, filtration and sludge management. This helps reduce operating costs, simplifies maintenance and avoids introducing additional moisture into the production line.

The Aura can process monolithic, laminated and Low-E-coated glass. Its glass-support racks use rollers designed to protect coated surfaces commonly used in insulated-glass production.

Operation is highly automated. The operator loads the glass and starts the cycle, after which the machine automatically measures the height, length and thickness of the incoming pane. The working units then adjust automatically to suit the detected glass thickness.

Four operating units are used to seam all four sides of the glass. Each unit contains two heads fitted with flap-disc tools designed specifically for dry processing.

The machine reaches a maximum published operating speed of 25 m/min and is suitable for continuous three-shift production. Automatic thickness handling allows mixed glass sizes and thicknesses to be processed without repeated manual adjustment.

The Aura can be installed as a standalone machine, positioned in line with a vertical glass washer or incorporated directly into an insulated-glass production line.

It can be supplied for standard left-to-right glass flow or configured for right-to-left operation according to the factory layout.

The standard machine processes glass from 450 to 4000 mm long. Optional motorised infeed and outfeed conveyor modules extend the processing capacity to glass lengths up to 6000 mm.

Each extension module measures 2500 mm. The outfeed conveyor can be fitted with a dual-motor drive so that it can also operate as a production buffer.

The Aura is compatible with production lines having a glass reference height between 450 and 650 mm. Where the line height is between 450 and 550 mm, a floor pit is required to accommodate the central machine body.

A large 21.5-inch operator panel provides access to the CMS Main Supervisory Dashboard. The interface is designed to simplify production control and provide operators with a clear overview of the machine and working cycle.

Stone & Glass Group supplies the CMS Aura throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Benelux, supported by production-layout planning, installation, integration, commissioning, operator training, spare parts, servicing and technical support.
