Pneumatic Drilling Series

The Pellegrini Pneumatic Drilling Series provides a range of specialist drilling machines developed for natural stone quarrying, block dressing and diamond-wire cutting preparation.

Pellegrini offers different drilling configurations to suit the operation required, ranging from heavy-duty rail-mounted machines for repetitive block drilling to lightweight and portable systems for preparing diamond-wire holes in difficult quarry conditions.

The TBC 90/2 and TBC 90/2 HD are heavy-duty rail-mounted drilling machines designed to operate with one or two rock drills. Automatic thrust adjustment helps maintain drilling performance, while a pneumatic motor moves the drilling assembly along the rails. An integrated air-line lubricator is also incorporated into the system.

For applications requiring horizontal drilling, the TBC machines can be equipped with an additional horizontal drilling arrangement, extending their flexibility for quarry and block-processing operations.

The Slim Bar provides a lighter rail-mounted alternative. Designed around a single drilling hammer, it combines automatic thrust adjustment with pneumatic travel along the rail and is particularly suited to block dressing and quarry drilling where a more compact system is required.

For preparing the intersecting holes required before introducing diamond wire, Pellegrini offers the Slim Driller. This pneumatic down-the-hole drilling machine is particularly suited to granite and other difficult stone materials.

A spherical joint between the fixing assembly and drill guide allows the Slim Driller to operate in different directions. Its modular construction also improves portability around the quarry: Pellegrini's literature states that it can be separated into three sections, each weighing no more than approximately 50 kg.

The range also includes the Horizon, a specialist horizontal drilling system designed to produce a series of parallel holes at very low height above ground level. Pellegrini specifies drilling as low as approximately 60 mm from the ground, making it particularly useful where conventional drilling arrangements cannot reach the required position.

Together, these machines provide quarry operators with dedicated solutions for block separation, stone splitting, block dressing and preparation for diamond-wire sawing.
