Eptawire VVV Multi wire

The Pellegrini Eptawire VVV is a highly flexible 7-wire diamond saw developed for precise production of slabs and thick stone sections from marble, granite and other natural stone blocks.

Unlike multi-wire machines designed primarily around high-volume production of one standard slab thickness, Eptawire VVV provides considerable flexibility. It can produce any thickness from 20 to 200 mm, with even greater thicknesses possible when mixed thicknesses are required. Both metric and imperial dimensions can be accommodated.

At the heart of the Eptawire VVV are seven motor-driven flywheels, seven large-diameter tensioning flywheels and seven independent wire-guide wheels. This arrangement gives each diamond wire a high degree of independence and allows the machine to accommodate different production requirements.

Each of the seven diamond wires benefits from Pellegrini's patented independent double-tensioning system. Maintaining individual control over each wire is particularly important in multi-wire cutting, helping achieve consistent cutting conditions across the complete block.

The machine normally operates with 8.3 mm diamond wire beads, with 7.3 mm beads available on request. The smaller wire option can help reduce kerf and therefore the amount of valuable stone material lost during cutting.

Pellegrini has also incorporated an innovative lubrication system for the tensioning bearings, supporting reliable operation of the multi-wire tensioning system.

The combination of seven independently controlled wires and a wide range of possible cutting thicknesses makes Eptawire VVV particularly suitable for producers that manufacture more than conventional thin slabs.

It can be used for standard slabs, thick slabs and dimensional stone sections, giving manufacturers greater freedom to respond to architectural, construction and bespoke stone requirements without dedicating the machine to one fixed product thickness.
