DF 1200 SHV Single Wire

The Pellegrini Diamantfil DF 1200 SHV is a compact and versatile diamond wire saw developed for the processing of small natural stone blocks and stone panels.

Its combination of horizontal, vertical and inclined cutting makes the DF 1200 SHV suitable for both small quarry operations and stone processing facilities, providing a flexible solution for secondary block processing without requiring a large production machine.

One of the DF 1200 SHV's key applications is horizontal cutting, particularly the splitting of stone panels into thinner sections. The machine can also perform vertical and inclined cuts on small blocks, allowing several different operations to be carried out on one machine.

The machine uses a self-supporting structure incorporating the two columns, upper beam and block-trolley runways. An important installation advantage is that specific machine foundations are not required; Pellegrini states that the system only requires a level supporting floor.

The diamond wire runs around two 1,200 mm aluminium flywheels. One is connected to a 7.5 kW inverter-controlled main motor, while the second provides hydraulic wire tensioning.

Two mechanically adjustable wire-guide assemblies can be positioned close to the material. This reduces wire bow and improves cutting accuracy. The guides can be positioned horizontally, vertically or inclined according to the required cut.

The standard machine incorporates an electrically controlled, variable-speed block trolley with a 20-tonne loading capacity and 3.5 m useful travel.

The working area provides a 2.5 m useful cutting width and 1.2 m useful cutting height, while diamond wire speed is adjustable from 0–40 m/sec.

For applications requiring profiling as well as conventional cutting, the DF 1200 SHV Jolly adds PC-controlled operation across four axes. Pellegrini's Graphic 2D software can be used to program two-dimensional profiles, with the facility to import DWG and DXF AutoCAD files.

Both machines can also be supplied in Roller versions. Instead of using a block trolley, the machine itself travels along a dedicated rack-equipped track, providing an alternative arrangement for different quarry or factory layouts.

Optional equipment includes an automatic PTFE wedge insertion system for horizontal panel splitting and a manually rotating table with mechanical locking at 15° intervals.

For smaller dimensional-stone producers, the DF 1200 SHV provides an interesting bridge between quarry and factory processing: a relatively compact diamond wire machine capable of block sizing, secondary cutting and stone panel production from one installation.
