Bovone Stonedge 15/45 Radius and Calibration Stone Edging Polishing Machine

The Bovone Stonedge 15/45 Radius is an automatic variable-angle straight-line edging machine developed for the complete processing of kitchen worktops and other accurately finished stone, ceramic and engineered-material components.

Its fifteen-wheel configuration allows the machine to perform inclined-edge processing, thickness calibration, radius profiling and front and rear arrising within one continuous production pass.

The variable-angle processing group can be adjusted from 0° to 45°, allowing the machine to produce standard flat-edge work, inclined edges and accurately prepared mitres for bonded worktop assemblies.

Dedicated calibration wheels control the thickness of the material before the final edge-processing stages. This helps compensate for variations within the slab and supports accurately matched components, particularly when producing mitred worktops and bonded 90° returns.

The distinguishing feature of the Radius model is its ability to create and polish a rounded edge profile during the same production cycle. This makes the machine particularly suitable for kitchen worktops, islands, breakfast bars, vanity tops and other components requiring a smooth, shaped and polished exposed edge.

By combining mitre processing, calibration, radius profiling and arrising in one machine, the Stonedge 15/45 Radius reduces the need to transfer material between separate processing stations. This improves dimensional consistency, reduces handling and helps lower the risk of edge damage.

Working speed is continuously adjustable from 0.35 to 5.4 m/min. The processing parameters can be matched to the material, thickness, selected angle, radius profile, material removal and required polishing quality.

The machine processes materials from 3 to 50 mm thick. Minimum workpiece sizes vary according to the selected processing angle and material thickness.

For materials up to 19 mm thick, the published minimum dimensions are 85 × 85 mm at 0°, 110 × 110 mm at 22.5° and 140 × 140 mm at 45°.

For materials above 19 mm thick, the minimum dimensions are 110 × 110 mm at 0°, 140 × 140 mm at 22.5° and 160 × 160 mm at 45°.

The machine produces front and rear arrises up to 5 mm wide. Its processing sequence combines metallic diamond wheels, resin-bond diamond wheels, calibration wheels, peripheral radius wheels and polishing wheels.

The Stonedge 15/45 Radius is built on Bovone’s robust cast-iron machine base. Its rigid construction helps minimise vibration, maintain accurate spindle positioning and provide consistent profiling and polishing throughout continuous production.

Long infeed and outfeed supports provide stable material handling, while the transport system securely guides each component through the calibration, grinding, radius and polishing stages.

The machine is suitable for marble, granite, quartz, ceramic, porcelain, sintered materials and engineered stone, subject to the selected Bovone Diamond Tools configuration.
