Bovone Stonedge 11/45 Variable-Angle Stone Edging Polishing Machine

The Bovone Stonedge 11/45 is an automatic variable-angle straight-line edging machine designed for the accurate grinding and polishing of flat and inclined edges on natural stone, ceramic and engineered materials.

Its eleven-wheel configuration enables the machine to process flat edges at 0°, inclined edges at any selected angle up to 45°, and the front and rear arrises within one continuous production pass.

This flexibility allows fabricators to use one machine for standard flat-edge polishing, mitred components and specialist inclined-edge applications, reducing the need for separate machines or additional manual finishing.

The variable-angle processing group can be adjusted from 0° to 45°, allowing the production settings to be matched to the required edge geometry. The machine is suitable for worktop components, cladding, furniture parts, architectural stone and accurately prepared edges for bonded mitre assemblies.

Working speed is continuously adjustable from 0.35 to 5.4 m/min. This allows the processing conditions to be matched to the material, thickness, angle, amount of material removal and required finish.

The Stonedge 11/45 processes materials from 3 to 60 mm thick. The minimum workpiece dimensions vary according to the selected processing angle and material thickness.

For materials up to 12 mm thick, the published minimum sizes are 65 × 65 mm at 0°, 85 × 85 mm at 22.5° and 105 × 105 mm at 45°.

For materials above 12 mm thick, the published minimum sizes are 80 × 80 mm at 0°, 100 × 100 mm at 22.5° and 150 × 150 mm at 45°. Narrow pieces measuring 90 × 200 mm can also be processed, subject to the selected configuration.

The machine produces front and rear arrises up to 5 mm wide. Its processing sequence combines metallic diamond wheels, resin-bond diamond wheels and polishing wheels for controlled material removal and consistent finishing quality.

The Stonedge 11/45 is built on Bovone’s robust cast-iron base frame. This rigid construction helps minimise vibration, maintain accurate spindle alignment and support repeatable edge geometry throughout continuous production.

Long infeed and outfeed supports provide stable material handling, while the transport system securely guides each workpiece through the grinding and polishing positions.

The machine is suitable for marble, granite, quartz, ceramic, porcelain, sintered materials and engineered stone, subject to the selected Bovone Diamond Tools package.
