Atlantic Sealed Unit Roller Press

The Atlantic Sealed Unit Roller Press is designed to produce consistently pressed insulated glass units by applying uniform pressure across the entire assembly before gas filling and secondary sealing. Suitable for both standalone operation and integration into semi-automatic production lines, the machine delivers accurate, repeatable results while improving production efficiency.

Developed for insulated glass manufacturers using polyisobutylene (PIB) primary sealants, the roller press produces a high-quality primary seal ready for gas filling and final sealing. The machine is also fully compatible with structural foam spacer systems, including products such as Super Spacer, providing excellent flexibility for modern insulated glass production.

The PLC-controlled system automatically detects the height of each insulated glass unit and adjusts the roller pressure accordingly, ensuring every unit receives the correct pressing force regardless of glass thickness or unit configuration. Parallel rubber rollers apply even pressure across the entire unit, while the vertical edges remain under pressure for longer to achieve a consistent primary seal.

Fully conveyor-driven racks with bevel gear drive provide smooth glass movement through the machine, reducing manual handling while increasing production consistency. Depending on unit size, production speeds of 20–45 seconds per insulated glass unit can be achieved. The machine is available in multiple press heights and rack lengths and can be customised to suit individual production requirements.

Optional accessories include spacer bar alignment racks for accurate assembly and tilting tables for transferring large insulated glass units into the horizontal position ready for secondary sealing.
