Atlantic Heavy Duty Vertical Glass Washer

The Atlantic Heavy Duty Vertical Glass Washer has been specifically developed for glass processors who regularly manufacture thicker and heavier glass products. Built around a reinforced mechanical design, the Heavy Duty model offers increased durability while maintaining the exceptional washing and drying performance expected from Atlantic Machinery.

Unlike standard vertical washers, the Heavy Duty version is engineered to process glass up to 19 mm thick, making it ideal for architectural glazing, laminated glass, toughened glass and specialist glass products.

To ensure long-term reliability when handling heavier glass, the machine is fitted with oversized bearings, heavy-duty drive tyres, larger bevel and spur gears, reinforced drive chains and sprockets throughout the transmission system.

Larger 110 mm diameter rotary brushes provide excellent support for thicker glass during processing while maintaining the same high washing quality achieved by Atlantic's standard machines.

Operating at a controlled speed of 1–5 metres per minute, the Heavy Duty washer is perfectly suited to installation alongside vertical edging and polishing machines where consistent throughput and outstanding cleaning performance are more important than maximum production speed.

The machine is supplied with a closed-top design as standard, providing improved machine rigidity and helping maintain stable operation when processing larger, heavier glass sheets.
