About the Double Glasses Series – G Series DLE
The Cugher G Series DLE (Double Lite Edition) is an automatic glass screen printing system developed to provide maximum production flexibility within a single automotive glass printing line.
The key advantage of the DLE is its ability to process two small glass panes simultaneously or one large glass pane on the same machine. Small automotive glass such as sidelites and vents can be printed in pairs, while the same system can process a single backlite, windshield or sunroof.
This flexibility allows manufacturers to process different types of automotive glass on one production line, reducing the need for separate machinery, saving valuable factory space and helping optimise investment and production costs.
Glass positioning is controlled by an advanced 18-axis automatic centring system. Individual centring pin positions and their closing sequence can be stored within the production recipe, allowing the system to accurately centre even highly shaped and asymmetric automotive glass.
The centring system provides repeatability accuracy of ±0.08 mm and also performs automatic glass dimension control, generating an alarm when the glass falls outside the permitted dimensional range. The printing stroke is automatically set according to the selected production recipe.
The DLE Series is available in several machine sizes, covering applications from small vent glass through to full-size windscreens. Depending on the model and glass format, double-glass production can reach up to 800 pieces per hour, with cycle times starting from 4.5 seconds.
The system can be integrated into complete Cugher automotive production lines incorporating automatic handling, dryers, vision inspection, Edge-to-Edge printing and line automation.
