Line Automation Software

The Cugher Line Automation Software provides complete control and supervision of automated glass production lines, connecting individual machines, handling equipment, dryers and inspection systems into one coordinated production system.

Developed entirely in-house by Cugher, the software uses dedicated PLC/HMI technology to manage the complete line, including glass tracking, machine parameters, production recipes, alarms, diagnostics and emergency conditions.

Operators can monitor the production process through intuitive control panels, with the main interface providing a real-time graphical view of the position of every glass sheet throughout the line.

The Line Supervisor provides centralised control of the complete production system. Machine settings, dryer parameters and other process information can be stored within recipes, allowing rapid and highly automated product changeovers. The Line Supervisor can store thousands of different glass model recipes.

Part Tracking follows each glass sheet throughout the production process and maintains key information including glass type, status, alignment and vision-system data. This allows operators to understand exactly what is happening throughout the line and quickly identify production issues.

Integrated diagnostics provide real-time alarm information together with a detailed alarm history, helping operators and maintenance teams identify faults and reduce downtime.

Cugher also provides integration with customer management systems through its Order Manager, allowing production information to be exchanged with higher-level factory systems and supporting Industry 4.0 interconnected manufacturing.

Cugher can integrate its automation with both Cugher equipment and third-party machinery, creating a completely synchronised and automatically controlled production line.

Remote assistance hardware also allows Cugher software engineers to connect directly to the machine PLC via LAN or internet for diagnostics and technical support when required.
