About the Cms Taktika Vertical Glass Machining Centre

The CMS Taktika is a compact vertical glass machining centre developed to provide maximum production flexibility within a limited footprint. It is designed for small and medium-sized glass processors looking to increase efficiency, while also being ideal for larger manufacturers requiring a flexible solution for small batches and varied production.

Taktika can perform a wide range of operations, including:

  • Seaming
  • Grinding
  • Polishing
  • Milling
  • Drilling
  • Countersinking

The machine is equipped with opposing front and rear electrospindles, allowing glass to be processed from both sides. Two linear tool magazines provide 12 front and 12 rear tool positions, giving the machine one of the largest tool capacities in its class.

With a maximum glass size of 3100 ร— 2000 ร— 15 mm and a minimum workpiece size of 320 ร— 220 ร— 4 mm, Taktika can handle both large architectural panels and smaller specialist glass components.

The machine uses the CMS Active software platform, which provides an intuitive touchscreen interface, machine monitoring and automatic tool-life management. The operator simply selects the required machining operations, and the system identifies the appropriate tool or alerts the operator if the correct tool is unavailable or nearing the end of its usable life.

Automatic wheel and core-drill truing further improves consistency and reduces operator involvement. The system monitors tool wear and automatically starts the truing cycle after a programmed number of machining metres or drilled holes.

Taktika can operate as a standalone machine or be installed in line with a vertical glass washing machine. Its electrical panel is already configured for CMS standard signal exchange, allowing processed glass to be transferred directly into the washer.

Stone & Glass Group supplies the CMS Taktika throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Benelux, supported by installation, commissioning, operator training, tooling, spare parts, servicing and comprehensive after-sales support.
