Mistrello Lifting Grabs

The Mistrello Lifting Grabs are purpose-built handling devices designed for the safe and controlled lifting and movement of complete packs of glass.

Developed specifically for the glass industry, the lifting grabs provide a practical solution for unloading incoming glass packs and moving them into the required storage or production area. The equipment is designed to be operated by trained and experienced personnel and is available in three configurations to accommodate different glass pack dimensions and weights.

The range consists of the LP3000/R, LP3000/J and LP6000, with capacities from 3,000 kg up to 5,900 kg. Depending on the model, glass packs up to 6130 × 3302 mm can be handled, making the range suitable for both standard and jumbo glass formats.

Each lifting grab is constructed around a specially designed steel tubular frame, engineered according to the nominal capacity of the individual model.

The upper lifting hook can be positioned in three different locations, while adjustable lower feet allow the grab to accommodate different pack dimensions. The depth of the lower supports is mechanically adjusted using a handwheel and worm-screw system.

Adjustable upper brackets secure the glass pack during handling. Their height can be manually adjusted with the assistance of a counterweight system, reducing the physical force required from the operator.

Mistrello also incorporates positive locking systems into the adjustable components to help ensure that the supports are correctly secured before lifting. Mirrors are fitted to improve visibility of the rear of the glass pack and assist the operator when positioning the grab.

The three available models allow the appropriate lifting grab to be selected according to the glass formats normally received and handled within the factory.
