About the CE Rack Shuttle System
The Mistrello CE Rack Shuttle System is an automated glass storage and handling solution designed for manufacturers managing multiple types of stock glass and one or more cutting lines.
Unlike overhead loading systems, the CE operates at floor level, making it particularly suitable for factories with restricted building height where an overhead loader or crane system cannot be installed.
The system is designed to manage an unlimited number of storage racks and feed an unlimited number of cutting lines, allowing the installation to be configured around both current production requirements and future expansion.
One of the major advantages of the CE concept is that glass deliveries can be organised around a single loading area positioned close to the main truck access point. This reduces unnecessary movement of glass packs through the factory, improves safety and allows production to continue without interruption while new glass is being loaded into storage.
The CE is available in single-sided and double-sided configurations, allowing the storage layout to be designed around the available factory space and required number of glass positions.
Glass stock and rack movements can be managed using Mistrello's PC Store Pro software, providing centralised management of the storage system and helping operators organise the glass required for production.
