Steinex Wind Star

Wind Star is the splitting machine used in automatic splitting lines for sawn stone and concrete. In addition to the traditional upper and lower blades, Wind Star machines have side blades. This four blade system applies splitting pressure to all four main faces of the stone, giving a straight or profiled split.

With some stone types this produces very thin coverings and tiles with a more precise profile than is normally achievable with conventional upper and lower blade systems. A special inner frame raises the lower blade for direct, unobstructed contact with the underside of the stone, optimising split precision.

The range covers coverings, tiles and pavements. Blade length runs from 300 mm up to 2800 mm, with splitting force from 20 tonnes to over 600 tonnes. Wind Star is often configured in an automatic line, where sawn blocks, slabs and concrete suit automatic splitting, improving output, product quality and operating cost. Automation options include conveyors, pushers, pneumatic diverters and product counters.
