About the PTS 325 PORTA
The PTS 325 PORTA is a vertical saw for cutting sheet glass up to 60 mm thick, including normal glass, laminated glass and various fire resistant and bullet resistant glasses. The glass sits on rollers at 5 degrees from vertical for easy handling, and the cutting unit travels from top to bottom at a speed set by a frequency inverter.
A simple mechanism switches between a square cut and a fixed 45 degree angle, and a closed circuit cools the cutting disc. The saw comes in three parts, a central unit and two side stands, which makes transport, handling and assembly straightforward, and it can be extended later by adding another side stand.
