About the Vision System
Cugher vision systems cover the full inspection chain on a printing line. The Glass Quality Vision System (GQVS), installed after the washing machine, scans the whole glass surface to detect scratches, breakages, air bubbles, chips, contamination and water residue on raw, cut or ground glass, using alternating light patterns with configurable sensitivity zones. The Print Quality Vision System (PQVS), installed after the printing machine, checks the printed design for smearing, widening, pinholes, faded dots and missing elements against tolerances stored in the inspection recipe, giving real time feedback and automatic frame position correction without stopping the conveyor.
Automatic Screen Registration (ASR) uses two cameras under the printing table, controlled by servo motors, to align the screen with the glass automatically, cutting setup time and simplifying changeovers. The Broken Screen Detection system (BSD) detects ink leakage from damaged screens on a white roller, identifying spots down to 1 mm, while the Ink Detection System (IDS) spots ink residue to prevent contamination of the conveyor.
The Broken Edges Detector (BED) inspects glass edges and corners before critical stages such as printing, bending or tempering, integrating easily into existing lines with automatic training and direct communication with the line PLC for immediate corrective action.
