Line Automation Software

A dedicated PLC/HMI software system gives full control of the line, including part tracking and emergency management. Through intuitive control panels operators monitor and manage both the printing area and the handling line, and the main panel shows a real time graphical view of every glass position for quick, informed action.

Cugher develops and optimises PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), defines the control system architecture and integrates industrial protocols such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET and Modbus, designing user friendly HMI interfaces connected to SCADA for centralised monitoring. From offline simulation and factory acceptance testing to on site commissioning and operator training, the systems meet all safety standards, backed by remote assistance, preventive maintenance and fast intervention.

Line management features include the Line Supervisor (full line view, part tracking data and recipe management, with storage for thousands of glass model recipes), Part Tracking, Diagnostics and Troubleshooting with a full alarm history, recipe storage for up to 200 models on the touch panel, a Remote Assistance System connected directly to the printing machine PLC, and a setup or changeover mode for configuring new glass models.
