About the ATIS Mechanical Clamp Gripping Systems
Mechanical clamp manipulators are the ideal solution for handling products of any shape and size safely, precisely and ergonomically. Each clamp is custom designed to fit the specific workpiece, giving a stable grip and efficient work cycles. Built from robust materials with reliable technologies, these systems improve operator safety, reduce manual effort and optimise cycle times, even in complex applications.
The clamps work through jaws that apply a controlled force, in two principles:
- Force lock gripping, based on friction and clamping force
- Form lock gripping, based on jaw geometry, ideal for irregular shapes
Types include parallel, angular and toggle joint clamps by jaw movement, and 2 jaw, 3 jaw self centring and special multi jaw clamps by number of jaws. Applications span automotive, electronics, packaging, machining and logistics.
