BowScanner

The BowScanner is a deflection measurement system from LiteSentry-Softsolution, designed for glass processors and fabricators working with laminated and tempered glass. By detecting the overall bow of glass before it is moved to storage systems or used in an insulating glass unit or laminate, it identifies and sorts out sheets with excessive curvature. This increases production quality and quantity, prevents jams and breakage in sorting systems, and reduces downtime.

Early detection of excessive bow also helps furnace operators understand the causes of physical distortion and optimise the tempering and laminating process over the long term, particularly furnace parameters. The BowScanner outputs the total deflection in millimetres for all four outer edges and both diagonals, and displays the glass surface profile in colour for effective analysis.

The system installs vertically and integrates easily into existing glass processing workflows. It can be mounted with an existing LineScanner or run as a stand alone system, and provides precise measurements at a rate of 60 per second.
