About the TP Compact
The Mazzaroppi TP Compact is a compact horizontal glass tempering furnace developed specifically for small and medium-sized glass processors looking to bring tempering in-house without the space, energy consumption and operating costs traditionally associated with larger tempering plants.
Mazzaroppi has been producing compact tempering furnaces since 1980, and the TP Compact combines this experience with patented energy-saving technology, intelligent process control and a highly compact machine layout.
One of the major advantages of the TP Compact is its exceptionally fast start-up. The furnace can heat from 0ยฐC to 680ยฐC in approximately 60 minutes on the first start, with subsequent daily start-ups taking approximately 30 minutes. This allows the furnace to be switched off overnight rather than continuously maintaining operating temperature.
Energy efficiency is further improved by Mazzaroppi's intelligent multi-zone heating technology. The control system recognises which areas of the furnace are occupied by glass and primarily activates the heating elements required for those areas. Each heating zone has its own resistance, thermocouple, static relay, fuse and dedicated temperature control channel, providing accurate and responsive temperature management.
Mazzaroppi states that the TP Compact can provide energy savings of up to 70%, while average consumption ranges from approximately 100 to 170 kWh, depending on the model.
The furnace is designed for flexible production. Special low-energy-absorption materials provide low thermal inertia, allowing the furnace to respond quickly when changing glass thickness. Adaptive production recipes allow consecutive thickness changes without unnecessary production interruptions.
Operation is through an intuitive touchscreen interface, while machine parameters can also be monitored or adjusted through Mazzaroppi's smartphone service application. Remote assistance allows technicians to access and support the machine when required.
The TP Compact is available in three sizes โ 1300, 1600 and 1900 mm โ with maximum load dimensions up to 1900 ร 3600 mm. Standard processing covers glass thicknesses from 3.8 to 19 mm, with a 2.8 mm glass capability available as an option.
With its small footprint, rapid start-up, low maintenance requirements and straightforward operation, the TP Compact provides glass processors with the opportunity to take greater control over tempering quality, production schedules and operating costs rather than relying on external toughening suppliers.
Stone & Glass Group supplies and supports Mazzaroppi TP Compact tempering furnaces throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and Benelux, including specification, installation, commissioning, operator training, servicing, spare parts and technical support.
